We operate under the brands Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, Indoor Cycling Group and SCIFIT.Job PurposeManufacture MIG-welded assemblies in accordance with engineering standards while meeting company safety, quality, and productivity expectations.Essential Job FunctionsWork effectively both independently and as part of a teamPerform welding, grinding, and repair of welded assemblies on raw steelSet up welding equipment, fixtures, and parameters for assigned jobsInterpret blueprints, weld symbols, specifications, and work instructionsProduce quality weldments while meeting required production ratesInspect completed welds to ensure quality and structural integrityEnter completed work orders into the company production tracking systemCommunicate safety, production or quality issues to supervisors or managementMeet established efficiency, productivity and quality standardsSafely operate hoists and material-handling equipment to position partsFollow all company rules, safety policies, and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedQualifications and SkillsRequired0–2 years of production welding experienceKnowledge of MIG welding equipment setup and operationExperience using oxy-acetylene torches, grinders, sanders and hand toolsSuccessful completion of a GMAW weld testPreferredHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and manufacturing specificationsTechnical school weld certificateWorking ConditionsWork involves operating equipment and high-RPM air-powered metal finishing tools. Position requires lifting up to 35 lbs., reaching, repetitive motion, and exposure to dust, vibration, welding fumes, infrared and ultraviolet light. Your base wage will be between $22.00 - $26.50 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics.
