Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team at Dutch Miller of Wytheville. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of automotive maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry located in Wytheville, Virginia. This position offers a competitive compensation package of $15 to $30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of automotive maintenance and repair tasks, including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and engine diagnostics
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems with vehicles
• Accurately document repairs and services performed in a timely manner
• Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain recommended repairs and potential future maintenance needs
• Keep up-to-date with latest automotive technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and development
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prior experience as an automotive technician or completion of a formal training program preferred
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
