CNC Repair Technician

Our client in Latrobe PA is seeking a CNC Repair Tech to join the team Duties:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines and related production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair motors, drives, motion control systems, and basic PLC-controlled equipment.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and uptime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and machine documentation.
• Support CNC retrofits, machine upgrades, and new equipment installations and start-ups.
• Perform welding, fabrication, machining, rigging, and tooling support as required for equipment repairs.
• Analyze equipment downtime and conduct root cause failure analysis; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, checklists, and inventory records.
• Coordinate with and monitor outside vendors for specialized machinery repairs or services.
• Communicate equipment needs, parts requirements, and purchase requests to management or procurement.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to machine reliability and performance.
• Follow and help develop safe work procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and EHS requirements.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in CNC or industrial machinery maintenance.
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Working knowledge of motors, drives, and motion control systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLC controls and industrial automation.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with preventative and predictive maintenance technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motion.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and 6S standards.
