A pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide coverage at a long-term care facility in West Bend, WI. This contract role offers valuable experience working with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality medication management and patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and legally
• Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage
• Maintain confidential patient and pharmacy records with precision
• Educate patients on medication usage, side effects, storage, and medical devices
• Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications
• Offer patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure, and cholesterol monitoring
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following protocols
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
• Manage pharmaceutical inventory efficiently
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues

Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist license in Wisconsin (required)
• Experience in retail pharmacy accepted; training will be provided for those new to long-term care
• Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively
• Competence in managing pharmacy records and inventory

Schedule:

• Contract duration: 2 weeks (October 5 to October 16)
• Monday to Friday, 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM
