Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and medically complex patients in the Intensive Care Unit
• Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and critical care treatments as prescribed
• Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Respond rapidly to medical emergencies and assist with life-saving interventions
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and critical care protocols
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while advocating for patients and their families

Requirements

• Active Arizona RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of critical care practices, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions in high-pressure situations
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
