Details Work in the Neuro ICU, caring for ICU and IMC patient populations Day and night shift options available, 3x12 hour shifts (0700-1930 or 1900-0730), with some 4x12 shifts accepted Every other weekend required, with some holiday coverage Floating required as needed Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active RN license (WI or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty ICU experience required; neurosurgery experience preferred Experience managing craniotomy and external ventricular drain (EVD) patients required Epic charting experience required, within the past 12 months preferred Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an overall passing score of 80% or higher Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial line management, blood product administration, and ventilator management Experience with neurological care including CVA/stroke management, ICP monitoring, hypothermia protocol, and post-craniotomy/neurosurgery care Experience managing cardiac drips, dysrhythmias, and patients with multisystem organ dysfunction Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to neuro ICU and surgical ICU patients, including those with traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury Located at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked Wisconsin's 1 hospital Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Previous travel experience is required for this role American Traveler Job ID P-771768.
