Job Description

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining financial records in accordance with company policies and procedures. This role collaborates closely with internal departments and external vendors to resolve invoicing discrepancies and support the overall accounting function.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and account balances.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding payables and ensure adherence to payment terms.
• Support audits by providing documentation and requested information.
• Collaborate with internal departments to obtain approvals and resolve invoice issues.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in accounts payable processes.
• Strong skills in invoice processing and accounting.
• Data entry accuracy and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous accounts payable experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
