RN/LPN (Cheektowaga)

The RN/LPN (Cheektowaga) will deliver nursing care under the supervision of the Medical Provider. This position is responsible for providing direction to Medical Assistants and/or Licensed Practical Nurses and performing various nursing duties to support patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direction and guidance to Medical Assistants and/or Licensed Practical Nurses.
• Triage patient phone calls and patient visits.
• Provide case management for patients.
• Deliver care to patients requiring nurse-only visits.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
• Perform supportive duties to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Prepare rooms and assist Medical Providers with examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine diagnostic tests.
• Collect and process specimens.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the healthcare provider.
• Review lab results and report abnormal findings to the providers.
• Maintain supplies for patient rooms.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Maintain a professional manner in interacting with patients and staff.
• Maintain the integrity of the medical record.
• Document activities in appropriate logs.
• Provide patient education.

Physical Demands:

This role requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Evening work may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• One year of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Three years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting.
• Experience with an Electronic Medical Record System.

Pay Range:

• RN: $31.61 - $38.15/hr.
• LPN: $21.91 - $26.45/hr.
