Nurse Outpatient Staff Registered Nurse (RN)

The Nurse Outpatient Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal outpatient care. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient transition through the continuum of patient care, patient and family education, patient self-management after discharge, and supporting factors that impact customer satisfaction. Duties include, but are not limited:

• Evaluates outcomes of evidence-based decisions and practice changes for individuals, groups, and populations.
• Responsible for the documented outcomes at the program or service level.
• Provides peers with formal or informal constructive feedback for improvement.
• Supports colleagues and other nurses through knowledge sharing to provide safe, quality outpatient nursing care.
• Fosters a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of health care professionals.

• Current employees must submit copies of their most recent Sf-50, (Notice of Personnel Action). The SF-50 must identify the position title, series, grade, step, tenure and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). In some cases, more than one SF-50 may be required to show a higher grade previously held.
• This position is in the Excepted Service.
• Veterans preference does not apply for other current permanent Federal agency employees.
• May be subject to satisfactory completion of our credentialing process.

Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
