Certified Nurse Aides Needed

New rates: Certified Nurse Aides needed. Full time and part time. Must have NY certificate, if you have a CT certificate we will pay for reciprocity. Caring for a 40 resident unit with the support of an RN Unit Manager, LPNs and other CNAs. All shifts available. Putnam Ridge is a 160 bed Skilled Nursing facility consisting of a short term rehab unit, a dementia unit and 2 long term units. We are located at the top of beautiful Mount Ebo Road North in Brewster, NY. Our staff is pleasant, caring and kind. We offer an excellent salary and benefit package including tuition reimbursement.

We are hiring full time and part time CNAs for our day shift 7am - 3pm, evening shift 3pm - 11pm and night shift 11pm - 7am.

Up to $28.75 hourly!!! Payrate varies based on years of experience. $2,000 sign-on bonus for full time status.

CNA Responsibilities

• Provides direct resident/patient care under the supervision of RN or LPN.
• Follow individualized resident plan of care.
• Performs duties such as: activities of daily living- bathing, dressing, assistance in nutrition and hydration, locomotion/ambulation, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming such as: comb/brush hair, nail care, shave. Bowel and bladder assistance, maintenance rehab, proper understanding of least restrictive device regulations, proper utilization of restraint devices, special care needs.
• Documents resident care accurately and legibly as per facility policy.
• Notes resident changes of condition and reports same to LPN/RN.
• Performs vital signs as directed.
• Performs tasks and responsibilities of assigned shift.
• Reports on duty, listens to and/or obtains report from Charge Nurse, receives assignment.
• Makes two hour and PRN rounds on all residents.
• Keeps unit neat and clean; straightens, nourishment station, clean and dirty utility room and other areas as assigned.
• Performs procedures outlined for Certified Nursing Assistants in the procedure manual.
• Assists in the psycho-social aspect of the resident by cross training in recreational therapy.
• Ensure the resident is out of bed, dressed and ready to participate in activities of choice.
• Assist with transportation, if needed, to and from activities.
• Provide assistance with ADLs during activities if necessary.
• Assist resident to participate in individual activities of choice, (ie: setup of equipment, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space).
• Inform residents of various activities available to them even when Activities staff are not available.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

CNA Requirements

• New York State CNA License (If you have Connecticut certification, we will pay for you to get New York certified)
