Lead CarpenterHill Top Craftsmen LLCSpokane, WA | Full-Time | $30 - $40/hourBuild Quality. Lead by Example.Hill Top Craftsmen is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter who takes pride in producing exceptional work while leading a crew in the field. If you're an accomplished carpenter with strong framing experience, whether it's commercial or residential, and enjoy mentoring others while staying hands-on, we'd love to meet you.This isn't a management role where you spend the day behind a desk. You'll work alongside your crew, oversee daily construction activities, and help ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standards our clients expect. What You'll DoAs our Lead Carpenter, you'll:Lead crews on residential construction projects, including framing, additions, remodels, and other carpentry work.Work alongside your team while setting the pace for productivity and craftsmanship.Read construction plans, complete layouts, and ensure accurate field execution.Coordinate daily work activities to keep projects on schedule.Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project leadership as needed.Identify and resolve field issues before they impact quality or schedule.Communicate project progress and site updates to company leadership.Mentor less experienced carpenters while promoting accountability and teamwork.What We're Looking ForYou'll be a strong fit if you have:5+ years of hands-on residential construction experience with a strong carpentry and framing background.Experience leading crews as a Lead Carpenter, Crew Lead, Foreman, or similar field leadership role.The ability to read blueprints and translate plans into efficient field execution.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.Experience using construction technology such as Buildertrend, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar platforms is a plus.Strong communication skills with both team members and clients when needed.A dependable work ethic and a commitment to leading by example.What Success Looks LikeOur most successful Lead Carpenters:Deliver high-quality craftsmanship with minimal rework.Keep projects organized, productive, and on schedule.Build crews that work efficiently and support one another.Identify issues early and solve problems proactively.Earn the trust of clients, teammates, and company leadership through consistent execution.Why Join Hill Top Craftsmen?Steady pipeline of residential construction projects throughout Spokane and the surrounding areas.Opportunity to lead projects while remaining hands-on in the field.Direct access to company leadership where your ideas and experience are valued.Competitive hourly compensation based on experience.Performance -based bonus opportunities.Long-term career growth into higher field leadership positions.Ready to Build Something Great?If you're an experienced carpenter who enjoys leading from the front and takes pride in delivering outstanding craftsmanship, we'd love to hear from you.Submit your resume along with a brief overview of your construction experience and the types of projects you've led.Hill Top Craftsmen is an equal opportunity employer committed to building an outstanding team of skilled professionals.
