Senior Retail Operations Finance Analyst

About This Role Senior Retail Operations Finance Analyst within VF’s Retail Operations team will support retail performance through financial planning, analysis, and operational insight across a multi‑unit retail environment. The analyst collaborates closely with Retail Operations leadership, field teams, and finance partners to deliver labor planning, sales targets, expense management, and performance reporting for brands such as Vans, The North Face, and Timberland. Responsibilities Support retail strategy execution with deep‑dive analysis, interpretation, and communication of results. Create executive‑ready presentations in PowerPoint to share insights and recommendations. Partner with Retail Operations leadership and finance to develop and manage labor models, allocate sales and labor targets to stores, and provide weekly and monthly reporting on performance and spend. Collaborate with field leadership to ensure financial commitments and targets are met. Analyze and administer District and Store Manager incentive, bonus, and contest programs. Conduct scheduling, labor, and KPI analysis using retail systems and reporting tools such as StoreForce and SMG. Identify opportunities to improve reporting, forecasting accuracy, and decision‑making effectiveness. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a financial analyst role, preferably within a retail or multi‑unit environment. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel with strong skills in PowerPoint, Power BI, and Word. Experience with SAP and Business Objects (BOBJ). Ability to synthesize complex data and communicate a clear, compelling story to diverse audiences. Strong partnership and communication skills across all levels of the business. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Natural curiosity and willingness to ask questions and dig into details. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred Skills Retail environment experience. Experience with StoreForce or similar retail labor/performance platforms. Knowledge of SMG, Concur, and Coupa. Experience leveraging AI tools to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy. Experience supporting retail incentives, labor optimization, or expense planning at scale. Location Vans HQ, Costa Mesa Compensation & Benefits Hiring Range: $83,808.00 USD – $104,760.00 USD annually. This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
