About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its philanthropic mission in the Wood River Valley. The successful candidate will be a dynamic relationship builder and skilled fundraiser, with a proven track record of engaging diverse stakeholders and growing philanthropic giving. This role requires a visionary leader with a hands-on approach, capable of strategic planning, and operational management. The Executive Director will be responsible for expanding the donor base, elevating the organization's visibility, and ensuring its financial sustainability. They must be a champion of people and organizational culture, with the ability to mentor and empower a dedicated team. A deep commitment to the community and a genuine investment in its values and challenges are essential. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include leading the development and execution of strategic and annual plans, transparent communication with the Board, and providing strategic guidance to nonprofit organizations. The ideal candidate will have a bold vision for the future, be an entrepreneurial thinker, and bring fresh perspectives to the role. They should have strong financial and operational acumen, with experience in budget management and a background in a philanthropic or nonprofit setting. The role demands a leader who is a committed community advocate, at home in the culture of a small mountain community, and who can navigate the delicate balance between supporting nonprofits and cultivating donors.
