About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 36 Type of Staff: Day Shift - 1 charge, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs; Night Shift - 1 charge, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs. Patient Ratios: 1:5, may flex to 1:6. Type of Equipment: Telemetry. EMR: Meditech. Typical Hiring Profile: Skill Set Most Recruited For: Must have 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience. Preferred skills include orthopedic and/or trauma patient experience. Typical Procedures Performed/Common Diagnoses: Polytrauma patients, non-surgical cervical fractures cleared by spine, orthopedic and trauma with downgraded TBI, no more than 3 drains, burn downgrades. Heparin and Protonix drips. Best Personality Fit: Team player. Floating Areas: All Medical-Surgical Units. Dress Code: Scrub Color: Royal Blue. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Be on the unit by 6:45 PM for huddle. Tardy according to hospital policy by 6:53 PM. 4 weekend commitments required.
