Role Description The Coach is a part-time, on-site role based in Fairlawn, OH, responsible for leading KidStrong training sessions for children ages 1–11. On a daily basis, the Coach facilitates structured classes, demonstrating exercises, guiding activities, and providing encouragement to help kids build strength, confidence, and social skills. The Coach engages directly with families before and after classes to discuss progress, answer questions, and reinforce program goals. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and supportive training environment, preparing class materials, assisting with assessments, and following KidStrong curriculum and standards. The Coach also collaborates with other team members, participates in ongoing training, and supports local events or special programming as needed. Qualifications Experience working with children and families in educational, coaching, fitness, childcare, or youth development settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage groups of children and build positive relationships with families. Ability to maintain a safe, energetic, and structured environment, with attention to child safety, well‑being, and behavior management. Physical ability to demonstrate exercises, participate in active sessions, and move equipment as needed throughout the workday. Enthusiastic, positive, and professional demeanor, with a commitment to KidStrong’s mission of helping kids become stronger and more confident. Willingness to learn and follow a structured curriculum, accept coaching and feedback, and participate in ongoing training and development. Availability to work a full‑time schedule, including potential evenings and weekends depending on class times.
