Must-Have:
Candidates need to have a good understanding of neuro, multi-trauma, and medically complex diagnoses.
Be able to complete a thorough chart review and have a good understanding of lab values and weight-bearing precautions.
Candidate needs to be flexible and demonstrate skill through good documentation.
Must communicate well, have good time management skills, and be a team player.
Advanced skills needed include a good understanding and previous use of adaptive equipment for dressing, bathing, and self-feeding.
Previous experience with mobility/lift systems is preferred.


Description:
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist for a rehabilitation services unit.
The assignment length is 13 weeks.
The shift begins at 7:00 AM and ends at 7:00 PM.
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant setting.
Candidates must hold a valid Utah state license.
BLS certification and a degree from an accredited OT program are required.
The workload involves managing a patient ratio of 9 to 14 patients per day.
Applicants should be prepared for alternate weekend work and varied scheduling requirements.
Cross-training onto other units may occur to support the therapy team.
Experience in acute care settings is preferred, with ICU experience being an asset.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience with procedures such as neuro re-education, activities of daily living, balance training, and transfer training.
