Senior IT Project Manager (Supply Chain & Enterprise Systems)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and results-driven Senior IT Project Manager to define project scope, drive multi-year technology roadmaps, and manage complex cross-functional IT, application implementation, and infrastructure initiatives. In this hybrid role, you will partner directly with senior management, business units, and technology partners to prioritize initiatives, manage critical paths, and ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a high-impact contract engagement running through December 31, 2026, for an autonomous professional who excels at ambiguity resolution and cross-functional collaboration. You will oversee vendor accountability, enforce PMO governance standards, facilitate testing cycles, and translate leadership's strategic vision into actionable execution plans. Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Roadmap Governance
• Roadmap & Scope Definition: Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and two-year technology roadmaps with high-level delivery milestones.
• Integrated Scheduling: Estimate, plan, schedule, and track project timelines, resource allocations, financial budgets, and work breakdown structures (WBS) using enterprise planning tools.
• Dependency & Risk Management: Identify and manage critical paths, project dependencies, and potential risks, proactively devising contingency plans and mitigation strategies.
• PMO Compliance: Ensure all project execution adheres strictly to PMO guidelines, governance frameworks, and quality assurance standards (including unit, system, and integration testing cycles).

Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Facilitate collaboration across multiple functions and departments, serving as a role model for teamwork and aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Vendor & Contractor Management: Liaise and negotiate with external contractors and suppliers to clearly communicate technical requirements, drive accountability, and seek economies of scale.
• Status & Metric Reporting: Generate comprehensive executive status reports, visual charts, diagrams, and dashboards to communicate complex topics and track value-oriented outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience Baseline:
oMinimum of 10+ years of overall professional work experience.
oMinimum of 5+ years of dedicated experience leading medium to large-scale projects from initiation to delivery.
• Technical & Strategic Mastery:
oExtensive knowledge of structured project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid frameworks).
oProven ability to navigate ambiguous scope, overcome resource constraints, and align stakeholder expectations.
oIn-depth proficiency with project planning and tracking tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Trello).
oStrong understanding of IT enterprise technologies and business process improvement frameworks.
• Work Schedule: Commitment to the hybrid work arrangement (in-office Tuesday through Thursday, remote Monday and Friday) and assignment duration through December 31, 2026.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; superior organizational and prioritization capabilities; excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking acumen.

Preferred Attributes
• Professional Project Management certification (PMP).
• Direct experience leading supply chain technology projects to optimize logistics, inventory, or operational performance.
• Background working within the utilities industry or critical infrastructure sectors.
• Experience driving Agile processes for enterprise application implementations.
