Merrimack Valley Endoscopy Center - Front Desk Coordinator Position Summary Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, the Front Desk Coordinator performs a variety of administrative tasks to arrange for the admission of patients to the surgery center. Responsibilities Answer and triage phone calls, greet and speak with patients and family members in a friendly and compassionate manner. Monitor the main entrance and serve as the first point of contact for all visitors at the Center. Maintain a daily visitor log and keep the waiting area and front desk area neat and orderly. Prepare welcome packets and necessary documentation for next‑day cases, and check‑in patients, including collecting, scanning documents and verifying and inputting patient data. Print estimate forms, obtain patient signatures, collect payment as needed, or set up payment arrangements, and give appropriate instructions to patients and family members at the time of admission regarding the day’s expectations. Appropriately record information in the patient’s medical record, including downloading information from the EHR/paper chart to the EMR. Conduct vendor credentialing and manage vendor access to the Center. Maintain confidentiality of Center and patient information at all times to ensure compliance. Perform other duties assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient computer skills and office administrative experience. BLS certification (as required by individual ASC policy).
