Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through middle school as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract role provides the chance to collaborate closely with educators and families, helping students develop essential skills for academic and personal success. Located near Palatine, IL, you'll split your time between two welcoming school sites—one per day—serving diverse learners with a focus on both general and special education settings.

Your week will provide a consistent schedule, working full-time (37.5 hours) during school hours. You’ll implement evidence-based interventions for children with varying needs, foster independence in daily activities, and monitor progress through thoughtful documentation. There’s no midday campus travel required, ensuring a smooth and focused workday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to K-8 students, addressing sensory integration, fine and gross motor development, and functional skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to create and update individualized student plans.
• Provide support within general education and some self-contained special education classrooms.
• Maintain accurate progress notes and meet compliance standards in service delivery.
• Participate in student evaluations, annual reviews, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license.
• Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated skill in sensory integration and setting meaningful goals for school-aged children.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
