Occupational Therapist (OT) | Contract

Location: Hot Springs, SD

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift

Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient, Long-Term Care

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide occupational therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Deliver therapy interventions to improve functional independence and daily living skills.
Provide care across inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals and home care strategies.
Supervise therapy assistants and aides as required.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Ensure safe and effective use of therapy equipment and treatment modalities.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities.
Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-focused therapy environment.

Preferred:

Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings.
Experience supervising therapy assistants or aides.
Multi-setting rehabilitation experience.
Strong patient and family education background.
Experience in rural or community healthcare settings.
EPIC EMR experience.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience.
Active State Occupational Therapy License required.
Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles and therapeutic modalities.
Ability to work with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
Strong communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Holiday coverage required.
