POSITION OPENING
CHILDCARE LEAD TEACHER
Walker Room
ESS/Willsub Employee
Required Qualifications:
- Meet licensing/program requirements for a background check, fingerprinting, and other program clearances
- Must meet all Michigan child care licensing requirements to serve as a Lead Teacher
- Must obtain Basic First Aid and CPR Certification
- Experience working with Toddler children
- 1-2 years working with early childhood aged children
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Experience working with Toddlers.
- Primary responsibilities under daily supervision of the childcare director include daily teaching and supervision of children, daily supervision of childcare staff
- Michigan’s Infant and Toddler Development And Care Practices Course Completion
- Familiar with early childhood standards and benchmarks, preferred
- Knowledge of High Scope Curriculum, preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Willingness to accept and perform additional duties/responsibilities as assigned
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure student success and a positive caring environment
A successful candidate will be able to:
- Assist in assessing Children’s growth and development
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily routines
- Lead classroom staff in a positive manner
- Have a positive and caring attitude
- Possess strong organizational and communication skills
