Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team. This role will play a key part in financial reporting, month‑end close, and supporting FP&A initiatives. Ideal candidates bring strong technical accounting skills, advanced Excel expertise, and a proactive mindset. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries in accordance with accounting standards Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis (FP&A) Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies Assist with internal and external audits Build and maintain financial reports and dashboards using Excel Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles Hands‑on experience with month‑end close, reconciliations, and journal entries Experience partnering with FP&A teams Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) Experience in a fast‑paced or high‑growth environment Retirement plan options Ascendo is an equal opportunity employer.
