Professional Staff Nurse - Rotating Shift - 12 x 3 Job Description The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse responsible for setting the standards for the level and quality of care. This role encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, and supervision, while managing and providing patient care activities for a group of patients and their families. The nurse applies independent judgment, communicates effectively, and collaborates with all team members to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. Responsibilities Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors. Participate actively in department or unit-specific quality improvement efforts. Utilize research and evidence-based practice to support improvements in clinical care. Apply the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment. Formulate daily goals and plans of care that involve the patient as a partner. Demonstrate critical thinking in identifying clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues. Communicate effectively with care providers and patients. Provide detailed teaching to patients and families about their care. Develop and maintain productive working relationships internally and externally. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Registered Nurse (RN) required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
