Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: - Minimum of 24 months of current operating room experience - Experience in circulating and operating room required - Scrub experience highly preferred - Experience in General, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases required - Additional experience in Client, Orthopedics (primarily trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, ENT, and Vascular preferred - Trauma Level I experience highly preferred - Trauma Level II experience required - No first-time travelers; must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 15 months License: - Active Iowa or compact multistate nursing license required Certifications: - BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required Must-Have: - Work history/resume must include a minimum of 24 months of current operating room experience - Skills checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Operating Room Nurse, scrub/scrubbing) Description: We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse for a 13-week assignment. The candidate will work four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. Holidays may be required unless the unit is closed. The average caseload is between 35-50 cases per day. There is an expectation for turnovers to be less than 20 minutes. The nurse may be required to float across various locations. Experience in a Level I trauma center is preferred. This role involves both scrubbing and circulating responsibilities. Candidates should have recent experience with EPIC electronic medical records systems. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this position. All interested candidates should be prepared to discuss their relevant experience.
