Phlebotomist - PRN

PhlebotomistAs a Phlebotomist, this employee is responsible for collection of specimens for lab testing on inpatients, outpatients, emergency room and clinic patients. Responsible for application of learned techniques necessary to obtain quality specimens to aid the techs in reliable results. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for developing computer skills for the Laboratory Information System and complying with all regulatory requirements, including Lab Compliance. This position requires adept social skills and compassion. As secretarial relief, this employee is responsible for distribution of lab reports, filing, ordering supplies, handling drug screen accounts and paperwork, and registering Home Health patients. Additional projects may be delegated as the need arises.Employee will be provided a routine 8 or 12 hour schedule, plus at least 1 weekend every month and equal share of holidays, with occasional rotation to other shifts to meet staffing needs.
