IT Support Technician – Contract-to-Hire Location: Greater Houston Area Shift: 2nd Shift Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Our client, a global biotechnology company dedicated to advancing innovative therapies through cutting-edge research and technology, is seeking an IT Support Technician to join their growing IT team and provide first-level technical support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone looking to launch or grow their IT career while gaining hands-on experience supporting end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and working alongside experienced technology professionals. Responsibilities Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and basic network-related issues. Respond to and resolve end-user support requests in a timely and professional manner. Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers, printers, and peripheral devices. Assist with user account setup, password resets, and other basic system administration tasks. Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the ticketing system. Escalate complex technical issues to senior support teams as needed. Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting users across the organization. Qualifications 0-2 years of IT support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or technical customer service experience. Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred. Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and computer hardware. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
