Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide emergency nursing care in a high-acuity setting as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. Deliver safe, timely assessments, interventions, and ongoing patient monitoring during night 12-hour shifts, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assess emergency patients promptly and accurately to determine acuity and care priorities.
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions according to evidence-based protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, respond to clinical changes, and document care in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with physicians, paramedics, and multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care.
• Manage emergency department workflow, including triage support and rapid response readiness.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and suicide prevention training requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Washington State RN license or a multi-state license with required verifications.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Maintain current ACLS certification.
• Maintain current PALS certification.
• Maintain current TNCC certification.
• Maintain current NIHSS certification and complete approved 6-hour suicide training with Nursys demographic verification.
