Cashier / Receptionist

Position Summary The Automotive Dealership Cashier / Receptionist is the first point of contact for customers and visitors at the dealership. This dual-role position requires professionalism, accuracy, and excellent communication skills. The cashier / Receptionist is responsible for processing customer payments efficiently and accurately, handles phone calls, greets visitors, and supports administrative tasks to ensure smooth front desk operations. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Front Desk * Greet customers and visitors promptly and courteously. * Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member. * Provide information and assistance to customers in person and over the phone. * Maintain a clean and welcoming front desk and reception area. Cashier Duties * Accurately process service, parts, and vehicle sales payments. * Balance cash drawer and prepare daily cash reports and deposits. * Issue receipts, refunds, and change due to customers. * Reconcile credit card and cash transactions at the end of the day. Administrative Support * Assist with filing, scanning, and data entry tasks. * Maintain appointment schedules for service or sales teams. * Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries. * Support office staff with general clerical duties as needed. Qualifications Experience & Education * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Prior experience in a cashier, receptionist, or customer service role preferred. * Experience in an automotive dealership setting is a plus. Skills & Competencies * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general computer use. * Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately. * Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. * Professional appearance and demeanor. Work Schedule & Compensation * Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM, with occasional Saturdays * Compensation: Hourly wage, based on experience.
