Position Summary Position Summary... What you’ll do Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates in the assigned area, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, evaluating performance, promoting a belonging mindset, providing recognition, and ensuring compliance with applicable company policies and procedures regarding selection, recruiting, record retention, training, and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Holds hourly associates accountable by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, maintaining quality assurance standards, overseeing safety and operational reviews, developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies, and ensuring confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records as required by Company policies and procedures. Manages the financial performance of the assigned area by creating budgets for sales, expenses, and wages, monitoring club indexing, ensuring budgeted numbers are achieved, implementing plans to correct sales and profit deficiencies, ensuring staffing levels are within company guidelines, and scheduling and training associates to meet member needs. Works as part of the management team to ensure all opening and closing procedures are followed, collaborating with opening and closing managers to ensure a smooth transition from day to night operations, discussing merchandising opportunities, scheduling concerns, associate issues, and any issues needing escalation or additional resources. Increases and promotes quality of the member experience and member engagement by ensuring appropriate service levels, effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signage, maintaining in‑stock and inventory levels, requesting merchandise to meet community needs, and modeling, enforcing, and providing guidance to associates on proper member service approaches and techniques to resolve member complaints and issues in accordance with Company policies. Drives sales in the assigned area by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signage, inventory levels, cleanliness, assessing economic trends and community needs, overseeing the stocking and rotation of merchandise, removing damaged or out‑of‑date goods, setting up, cleaning and organizing product displays, securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, and monitoring expenses. Oversees and enforces the execution of food safety standards, cold‑chain compliance, and food merchandise quality by evaluating temperature storage, sanitation, date‑coding, product rotation, and recalls on stocked merchandise, and training associates about food safety standards, policies, and procedures. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability, measuring progress, identifying improvement opportunities, and promoting continuous learning. Minimum Qualifications 2 or more years of college; or 1 year’s retail experience with 6 months’ supervisory experience; or 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; or 1 year’s SAM’S Club experience; or 3 years’ military experience. Preferred Qualifications Environmental compliance or related field experience. Retail profit and loss statement management experience. Supervisory experience. Warehouse experience with cold‑chain compliance.
