As a Housekeeping Manager you are responsible for developing an environment that creates excitement for guests and employees, promoting and retaining a highly skilled workforce. The incumbent is also responsible for managing the Housekeeping Department to ensure the effective, efficient, safe and overall cleaning maintenance of L’Auberge Lake Charles Hotel. Responsibilities Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, and manages staff to ensure employees receive adequate guidance and resources to achieve established objectives. Establishes, implements, and monitors department objectives, standards, guidelines, budget, and other administrative processes to achieve proper management of department and understand the relationship between a client and its contracted services. Collects data and information through inspections and testing in order to file reports to appropriate regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with regulations. Inspects hotel utilities and equipment and takes action to correct problems in order to minimize potential for violations during on‑site safety inspections by OSHA. Provides expertise, direction, and labor and equipment resources, including monitoring of all hazardous Materials located within the property in event of hazardous waste spill to ensure that cleanup procedures and results are in compliance with regulations. Performs Daily hotel room inspections to ensure the consistent quality of room preparation and effectiveness of existing systems. Assists guests with issues that are beyond the control of supervisors, ensuring guests' satisfaction while operating within established guidelines and policies. Conducts inspections and makes recommendations for necessary repairs in order to ensure cleanliness and proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Manages Foreign Labor program assuring proper procedures are followed with all Foreign Labor team members under the H2B petition. Requirements Effective communication skills required. Demonstrated record of high achievement and ability to interact effectively with others essential. Proven leadership skills. Prior experience in preparing and administering budgets, financial reports, and capital expenditures. Knowledge of chemical and stain removal products and processes and their effect on fabric; knowledge of fabric care. Demonstrated proficiency in production analysis.
