Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety, clearly explaining the procedure at each step
• Work in partnership with radiologists and referring clinicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality diagnostic images
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment, reporting any issues as they arise
• Keep accurate records and documentation of procedures within the electronic medical system
• Stay updated on the latest advances in ultrasound imaging techniques and protocols

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is highly desirable

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or similar credential
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed

• Demonstrated technical proficiency in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
