Healthcare EiPaaS Developer

Role Description

The EiPaaS Developer role resides within the Operations department and is responsible for overall ownership of the EiPaaS application (Bridgegate) and its environment. This role ensures the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of 834 electronic files, provider files, and other items processed through the EiPaaS/Bridgegate application, while maintaining enterprise-wide oversight of all Bridgegate workflows.

Unlike a traditional IT development role, this position operates within the Operations team and focuses on business process continuity, data integrity, issue resolution, and workflow optimization. The EiPaaS Developer serves as the operational subject matter expert for electronic file integrations and ensures that all workflows function reliably to support downstream business processes.

This position is an operations-based role responsible for the administration, configuration, monitoring, and support of the organization’s EiPaaS/Bridgegate environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely electronic data exchange, with primary ownership of 834 electronic file processing and overall oversight of all Bridgegate workflows.

The EiPaaS Developer encompasses:

• Template development for new 834 electronic files
• Continuous workflow monitoring
• Proactive issue identification
• Comprehensive troubleshooting of all EiPaaS/Bridgegate-related processes

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 2+ years of experience in operations, EDI processing, healthcare enrollment, or systems workflow management
• 1-2 years of direct experience working with 834 electronic files and understanding of EDI file structures
• Experience using Bridgegate or a comparable integration or data workflow platform
• Demonstrated experience monitoring automated workflows and resolving production issues
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
• Ability to interpret data mappings and validate file outputs
• Proficiency with Excel and basic data analysis tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

• Maintain internet service that allows you to complete your essential job duties without issue (Rates of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload while hardwired and not on a VPN are sufficient)
