Registered Nurse - Psychiatry/Behavioral and Mental Health

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specialized in Psychiatry/Behavioral and Mental Health to join our team. This position involves working with adult patients dealing with a variety of mental health issues, including addiction, depression, anxiety, and psychosis.

Location: Columbus, OH

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess patient conditions through shift assessments.
Administer emergency and regular medications as required.
Conduct admissions and discharges in accordance with protocols.
Respond to CODE Blues and instances of violent behavior with appropriate de-escalation techniques.
Utilize COWS and CIWAs assessments effectively.
Maintain accurate documentation in EHR systems including HCS and Pyxis.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric nursing role.
Required certifications: BLS, Handle With Care (HWC).
Experience with psychiatric patient care and medication administration.
Ability to float as needed.
