About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Must have license in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with Cerner charting system required - Travel experience required Description: Charge coverage may be needed depending on operational needs. Training and resources will be provided for unit charge nurse responsibilities. Clinicians should be comfortable with these responsibilities. The unit cannot accommodate specific holiday requests. Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Only clinicians with at least 2 years of experience will be considered. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. A valid Indiana license or compact license must be in hand at the time of start. RTO restrictions apply, and auto-approval is available for a limited number of days. Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required. Candidates must be able to manage a patient ratio of 5:1 for both days and nights. Interdisciplinary support includes various services to assist in patient care. The unit handles various medical and surgical diagnoses. Preferred experience includes community hospital, LTAC, and trauma experience.
