About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Indiana license or compact license must be in hand prior to start Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Patient ratio experience: 5 Charting system experience required Description: Charge coverage may be required based on operational needs. Candidates must be comfortable with unit charge nurse responsibilities. The unit is unable to accommodate requests for time off during specified holidays. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Travel experience is required. Candidates should have experience utilizing the charting system Cerner. Previous experience in community hospital settings is preferred. Candidates with experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) and Trauma Level I or II settings are preferred. Candidates should have skills in various patient care areas including but not limited to: - Administration of chemotherapy - Central line blood draw - Telemetry monitoring - Management of dysrhythmias - Tracheostomy care - Wound care management The unit serves adults and geriatrics with various medical surgical diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support includes therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliates is required.
