Client: Texas Oncology Title: Patient Intake Coordinator Duration: 3 months Contract to Hire Location: Remote, Must live in Texas Start date: ASAP (can give a 2 weeks notice) Must Haves 2+ years of healthcare experience registering and scheduling patients experience verifying patient insurance and checking their eligibility experience working in a call center environment and answering calls from a queue strong attention to detail and ability to multitask customer service experience remote in Texas HS diploma or GED Plusses experience with Athena or Leading Reach experience working for a urology office Job Description A cancer treatment specialist group is seeking a Patient Intake Coordinator to support our growing needs. This team will be handling calls to get new patients registered and scheduled for an initial consultation appointment. The new patient coordinator will obtain patient records, demographic information, referral information and input it into the system and schedule the patient for their initial consultation appointment with the provider. When inputting patient information, they will also check the patient’s eligibility and verify their insurance. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and navigate different systems while taking care of the patient and providing top-tier customer service. In this role, you will be handling about 40-50 patient calls daily. This position is based in Texas and will be remote.
