Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Medical Surgical / Solid Organ Transplant Unit)

Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hour weekly options available | 13 or 26 week contract options available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical surgical, telemetry, and progressive care to adult pre- and post-transplant patients (liver, kidney, pancreas, intestinal) as well as intestinal rehabilitation patients on a 36-bed unit
• Administer and manage IV drips as required across all floors
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records system
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs (where assigned)
• Float to other units and campuses as needed to meet facility staffing needs, within scope of practice
• Adhere to all facility policies including weekend and holiday shift requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, required to be in a large, urban hospital setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
• Ability and willingness to manage IV drips
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred
• Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
