Software Verification Engineer

Innovative Aerosystems is seeking a Software Verification Engineer to support verification and validation activities for safety-critical aerospace software. This position provides hands-on experience with embedded systems, requirements-based testing, code analysis, and FAA certification standards including DO-178C and DO-254.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will participate in the software verification process throughout the software development lifecycle while contributing to products where reliability and quality are critical.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze software requirements
• Develop and execute test procedures
• Perform graphics, I/O, unit-level, and system-level testing
• Conduct code-to-requirement differential and regression analysis
• Review source code for coding standard compliance
• Perform structural coverage analysis
• Document, track, and report software issues
• Prepare verification documentation, technical reports, and other project deliverables
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in:

• Computer Science (with C programming experience)
• Computer Engineering (with C programming experience)
• Electrical Engineering (with C programming experience)

Desired Skills

• Strong programming and analytical skills
• Embedded C and Assembly language experience
• Code review and code coverage analysis experience
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with software testing or verification methodologies
• Excel/VBA knowledge is a plus
• FPGA or Verilog experience is a plus
