Event Manager

A highly organized and results-driven Event Manager to oversee parking operations for events of varying sizes and complexities. Responsible for ensuring seamless parking experiences for event attendees while maximizing efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. Motivated to grow as a Parking Professional.Duties and Responsibilities:Collaborate with event organizers, venue management, and stakeholders to understand event parking requirements.Develop comprehensive parking plans, including traffic flow, capacity management, and contingency strategies.Coordinate with local authorities for permits, road closures, and traffic control needs.Recruit, train, and manage a team of parking attendants and supervisors.Assign roles and responsibilities, ensuring adequate staffing levels for each eventProvide clear instructions and ongoing support to ensure smooth operations during eventsCommunicate effectively with stakeholders.Oversee parking setup, signage placement, and traffic control measures.Monitor and manage parking operations in real-time, addressing issues as they arise.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or disruptions.Working with GM to develop programs to improve the operation.Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction by providing courteous and professional service.Address attendee inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively.Implement strategies to minimize wait times and enhance the overall parking experienceConduct post-event evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.Prepare detailed reports on parking operations, including attendance, revenue, and feedback.Minimum Requirement2+ years parking experience2+ years management experienceCAPP/CPP Certifications are a plusKnowledge, Skills, and CompetenciesStrong Team Building skillsPlanning special event parking and implementationAbility to construct and implement ongoing staff training programsAn analytical mind with problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skillsExcellent organization and multitasking skills.Planning skillsUnderstands Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint applications.Understands Google applications including G-Mail and Google calendar.Familiar with current technology.Understands current applications and systems.Exceptional Leadership skills.Time, task, and resource management skills.Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and coaching.Exceptional degree of professionalism.Excellent Customer Service Skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Delegating LeadershipGood observation skillsProblem solving skills.Able to work well under pressure.Able to take initiative.Able to interpret and apply City of Virginia Beach parking ordinances.Possess a clean driving record. #J-18808-Ljbffr
