Program Overview Launch your leadership career with our comprehensive six‑month Chef Manager In‑Training (CMIT) program. The immersive experience delivers the skills and knowledge needed to excel as a Senior Living Chef Manager or Executive Chef, with on‑the‑job shadowing, self‑paced modules, leadership assessments, and hands‑on experience under an experienced preceptor. What You Can Expect Comprehensive rotational training in all aspects of the Food Service Program, including leadership, culinary talent development, regulatory compliance, and hospitality‑focused service. Structured mentorship and ongoing feedback through regular meetings, self‑evaluations, and progress reports. Career advancement: successful completion positions you for a Chef Manager role based on company needs and demonstrated abilities. Minimum Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of supervisory experience. Preferably two years of food service experience in al‑la‑carte or banquet settings. Interest in working with an older population. Experience with food service point‑of‑sale (POS) systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, basic computer troubleshooting, internet navigation, and video conferencing. Ability to work flexible schedules in a 24‑hour operation, including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Effective written and verbal communication in English. Consistent and reliable attendance. Willingness to relocate following training for the first managerial assignment in any Belmont Village market.
