REMOTE Medical Coder

We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Inpatient Physician Coders to join a growing remote coding team. This role supports inpatient physician documentation across multiple specialties and plays a critical part in ensuring accurate coding, regulatory compliance, and optimized reimbursement. Due to organizational growth, we are hiring multiple coders for immediate start. Position Overview The Inpatient Physician Coder is responsible for reviewing inpatient medical records and assigning accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes in accordance with official coding guidelines, payer requirements, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong inpatient coding expertise, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, metric-driven remote environment. Fully Remote | Multiple Openings We are currently seeking experienced Inpatient Physician Coders to support continued organizational growth. This is a fully remote opportunity with immediate openings. Approved States FL, AL, AZ, CO, GA, ID, IL, MA, MI, NV, NM, NC, SC, PA, TX, VA, WA Full-Time Coders Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST Flexible start time between 6:00 AM–8:00 AM EST once fully trained and approved Key Responsibilities Review inpatient physician documentation to accurately assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes Ensure coding accuracy, completeness, and compliance with AHIMA, AHA, CMS, and payer-specific guidelines Maintain productivity, quality, and turnaround time benchmarks Identify and elevate documentation deficiencies or coding discrepancies as needed Participate in quality audits, education, and feedback sessions Stay current with coding updates, guideline changes, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with coding leadership and peers to support workflow optimization and operational goals #J-18808-Ljbffr Medix™
