About the Position

Job Title: Medical Imaging Tech I Profession: Technologist Specialty: X-Ray Duration: Full Time Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Three years previous experience in a hospital setting preferred; willing to consider new graduates or those with less experience. License: Current state license or temporary permit prior to taking registry, registry must be obtained within one year in relevant modality (highly preferred). Certifications: Current certification from relevant professional organization; Basic Life Support (BLS); Image Wisely pledge certificate or must obtain within 30 days of hire date and annually by January 30 thereafter (preferred); Image Gently pledge certificate or must obtain within 30 days of hire date and annually by January 30 thereafter (preferred). Must-Have: Graduate of accredited radiology technology program; current relevant modality certification; current state license or valid temporary permit. Description: Performs a variety of medical imaging exams for patients of all ages. Applies principles, theories, and techniques of pertinent modality to provide reliable test results. Provides daily leadership of patient and department workflow. Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position. Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment. Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally with the public. Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think, and act independently with minimal supervision. Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the assigned job location.
