Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position available in an acute care facility. The role involves providing emergency patient care in a busy ER environment, managing a diverse patient population with common diagnoses such as chest pain, trauma, sepsis, and abdominal pain. Candidates will work rotating shifts to support operational needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours each, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), TNCC, NIHSS, PALS (American Heart Association); a minimum of 2 years of ER experience
• Preferred Qualifications: ENPC and NRP certifications are a bonus
• Float: Float rotation may be required for pediatric ER
• Additional Information:
  • Unit notes highlight pass/fail exam during orientation and radius rule restrictions.
  • Candidate must have a valid drivers license, artificial nails are prohibited for patient care staff.
  • ER includes 33 beds (25 adult beds + 8 pediatric beds) and 2 trauma bays.
  • ER staff manage their own ER holds; no separate psych/seclusion rooms.
  • Approximately 70-85 patients per day, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4.
  • Equipment includes vents, Cpap, BiPap, high flow, with RT handling ABGs and breathing treatments.
  • ED staff are cross-trained in EKGs; radiology transport duties are shared.
  • Shift times: Day shift 7am-7pm, night shift 7pm-7am, with scheduled weekends and holidays.
  • No call or standby requirements.
  • Orientation includes 1-2 days of unit-specific training.
