Operations Supervisor (2nd Shift) - Greenfield, IN What You Will Do Perform standard work including Gemba walks with each supervisor once per week, reviewing standard work, WPO, Basic Problem Solving, TPM, and Just do It. Lead value stream improvement sessions to review task status and brainstorm solutions. Conduct formal audits of the entire area regularly to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and standard work. Actively participate in daily plant production meetings, rapid improvement events, and any special projects assigned. Monitor daily production and adjust plans as needed to meet revenue and other business targets. Adjust labor levels to meet customer demand, monitoring the addition of labor as well as the downsizing of labor when needed. Leadership Responsibilities Lead 1–2 Team Leaders and up to 30 hourly employees in operations. Interview, hire, and train employees. Plan, assign, and direct work. Appraise performance and provide rewards and disciplinary actions. Address complaints and resolve problems with the support of the current Shift Supervisor. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Requirements 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with progressive experience from Assembly Operator to Team Leader. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Strong written communication skills; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Excellent presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Strong problem‑solving skills, including use of mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. Demonstrated knowledge of safety guidelines and job risk assessments. Proficiency with lean manufacturing tools and ability to perform job tasks according to ISO9001/14001/18001 standards.
