Senior Portfolio Manager, Gulf Coast Pipelines & Midstream

Position Summary

The Senior Portfolio Manager, Gulf Coast Pipelines & Midstream is responsible for leading and growing a portfolio of pipeline, gathering, transmission, terminal, storage, and midstream projects across the Gulf Coast region. This role serves as a strategic customer-facing leader who develops and strengthens customer relationships, identifies and captures new business opportunities, and ensures successful project delivery aligned with customer objectives, Worley delivery requirements and strategic pipeline and midstream plans. The position will work closely with customers, business development, Denver operations, Denver project delivery, and technical teams across the organization to develop long-term pipeline and midstream growth strategies, expand Worley's market presence, and deliver sustainable value to customers. The role will maintain an integrated view of customer programs, aligning resources and capabilities across the organization, including high value engineering centers, to support safe, efficient, and profitable project execution. This role is expected to include both leadership and individual contributor responsibilities. Leadership responsibilities include mentoring and developing less experienced team members, while individual contributor responsibilities include project management and, where applicable, providing subject matter expertise to support project execution and customer success.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Growth

• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for Gulf Coast pipelines and midstream customers, that aligns with and supports the overall pipeline and midstream strategic plan.
• Establish and maintain management / decision maker level relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Identify opportunities for engineering and eventually EPCM / EPC services across pipeline and midstream assets.
• Lead customer engagement efforts from opportunity identification through proposal development and contract award, utilizing established lean proposal processes.
• Partner with Denver / regional leadership and business development teams to develop account plans and market growth initiatives.
• Identify / understand competitor capabilities and Worley competitive advantage or areas for growth to increase market share.
• Monitor market trends, customer capital programs, and competitive activity to identify new business opportunities.
• Support development of annual business plans and long-range strategic growth plans.

Customer Relationship Management

• Serve as a trusted advisor to key customer decision-makers.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer business objectives, capital plans, operating challenges, and strategic priorities.
• Build strong relationships based on transparency, trust, responsiveness, and delivery excellence.
• Act as the main point of contact / liaison for assigned strategic accounts.
• Facilitate resolution of customer concerns in alignment with regional / Denver management and proactively identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.
• Strengthen and expand relationships across engineering, operations, projects, and leadership within customer organizations.

Portfolio Leadership & Project Oversight

• Provide leadership and oversight for a portfolio of pipeline and midstream projects.
• Ensure portfolio execution aligns with customer objectives, contractual requirements, safety expectations, Worley delivery and portfolio requirements, and financial targets.
• Monitor portfolio performance, including revenue, gross margin, cash flow, schedule, and resource utilization.
• Promote consistent application of Worley project delivery processes, systems, and tools.
• Support project teams in identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions to improve project outcomes.
• Leverage workshare and global delivery capabilities to optimize execution and competitiveness.
• Conduct Portfolio self-audits and ensure technical peer review completion
• Establish and track KPIs for each customer
• Forecast staffing and resource needs. Work collaboratively with Denver / regional Management to ensure proper staffing levels.

Strategic Leadership

• Translate business strategy into actionable objectives for project teams and customer accounts.
• Lead the development and execution of the Gulf Coast pipeline and midstream growth strategy and contribute to Worley's broader pipeline and midstream business growth objectives.
• Provide leadership in developing integrated solutions to complex customer challenges.
• Foster collaboration across operations, project delivery, technical disciplines, and global integrated delivery teams.
• Develop talent and mentor less experienced staff
• Champion continuous improvement, value creation, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Champion and embrace the utilization of new tools, new software, AI, etc.
• Support strategic hiring, talent development, and succession planning activities associated with portfolio growth.
• Represent Worley at conferences, trade shows, industry events, etc.

Financial & Commercial Management

• Manage portfolio financial performance and ensure achievement of business objectives.
• Oversee forecasting, revenue performance, gross margin, cash flow, accounts receivable, and backlog growth.
• Oversee change management
• Ensure effective contract management and change management practices.
• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support development of pricing strategies, proposals, and contract negotiations.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of experience in pipeline, midstream, energy infrastructure, project delivery, or related industries.
• Demonstrated experience leading major customer relationships and growing business within the Gulf Coast energy market.
• Proven success developing and executing account growth strategies.
• Strong understanding of pipeline and midstream project development, engineering, EPCM/EPC delivery, and operational requirements.
• Experience managing complex portfolios, programs, or large projects.
• Experience leading multi-office and global delivery teams

Preferred

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Established relationships with Gulf Coast pipeline and midstream operators, developers, and infrastructure owners.
