Duties include picking up trash, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, cleaning windows and executing minor repairs and maintenance work. Depending on the job, Custodians may be required to operate industrial cleaning equipment and machinery. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends. May assist with the onboarding and mentoring of new employees and/or complete special projects.Job Description:Key Responsibilities :Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior and exterior of the building looking clean and professionalPerform other related duties as required or assignedWork independently and seek assistance as neededMay assist with the onboarding and mentoring of new employees and/or complete special projectsHelp maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipmentPerform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the facility management teamAdhere to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyoneHelp maintain user manuals for cleaning equipment, office furniture and fixtures that can be referred to when neededRespond to general assembly and repair requests quickly and with a professional mannerQualifications:Minimum Qualification :Minimum 17 years of age and a high school diploma or GED, or currently enrolled in a high school program in good standing, or up to 3 years general building maintenance experience; ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.Preferred Qualification :High School Diploma with up to 3 years of janitorial/building maintenance experienceAbility to exercise discretionAbility to make time-sensitive decisionsAbility to multitaskAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamBasic deductive reasoning skillsProficient active listening skillsProficient organizational skillsProficient time management skillsSelf-motivationAbility to lift objects up to 50 poundsAbility to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)Experience working in a fast-paced environment.The expected starting pay range for this position is between $16.55 - $24.80This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.Compensation:Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
