Position Medical Device Service Technician Location Zelienople, PA Duration 12 Months Total Hours/week 40.00 Shift 1st Shift Client Medical Device Company Job Category Engineering Level of Experience Entry-Level Employment Type Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens or GC Holders Only) Description The Service and Repair Technician II is a self‑motivated, lead technician responsible for troubleshooting, disassembly, testing, and assembly of electro‑mechanical medical devices. This role also involves training Technician I hires, fostering best practices, and ensuring compliance with the client’s Quality System. Responsibilities Perform wiring and assembly of subassemblies and serviced end‑item products. Execute formal test protocols, generate reports, set up and operate test equipment. Provide process/test method training to new technicians. Investigate and document root‑cause analysis of returned devices. Provide repair options and estimates to the customer service center. Collaborate with Field Assurance for complaint handling and root‑cause documentation. Participate in development of local procedures and repair documentation. Support Production/Service Quality Engineers in diagnosing failure modes of returned equipment. Identify negative trends in serviced devices and assist in quality and regulatory compliance. Maintain knowledge of company policies, ISO and FDA requirements. Provide backup technical support for customer issues. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Associate degree in electronic engineering technology or equivalent with at least 5 years experience. Experience in medical device or biomedical engineering is a plus. Proficient writing skills for reporting and root‑cause documentation. Ability to read electrical schematics and understand hand‑tool specifications. Knowledge of troubleshooting electronics and hydraulic circuits. Experience with test protocols and data analysis. Strong communication skills; able to convey technical solutions to customers. Competence to work with minimal supervision and to coordinate assignments independently. Team‑oriented and detail‑focused. Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; keyboarding proficiency. Desirable Skills Independent assignment coordination. Job performed with limited supervision. Technical competency and task‑oriented mindset. Attention to detail and accuracy. Physical Demands Job requires normal office and manufacturing activities, including stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, sitting, and lifting/manipulating tools and equipment. Work Environment Work in office, open cubicle, and/or manufacturing environment. Must function in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
