We look forward to hearing from you!**Position Summary:**The Hitter’s House Salesclerk will be responsible for assisting customers with locating items, providing product information and creating a positive and welcoming shopping experience for all customers. The Hitter’s House Salesclerk role involves totaling bills accurately, accepting payments, exchanging merchandise and maintaining an organized checkout area. You will play a critical role in maintaining store operations, ensuring shelves are stocked, and the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing.**Position Responsibilities:*** Monitor inventory levels and restock shelves, counters or tables with merchandise as needed.* Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise to promote sales according to company standards.* Stamp, mark, or tag prices on merchandise.* Obtain merchandise requested by customer or receive merchandise selected by customer.* Answer customer questions concerning location, price and use of merchandise.* Total price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill.* Accurately handle payments, provide correct change, and professionally wrap or bag merchandise to ensure a seamless and satisfying customer experience.* Remove and record the amount of cash in register at end of shift.* Calculate sales discount to determine price.* Keep record of sales, prepare inventory of stock and order merchandise as needed.* Keep the showroom clean and orderly.**Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:*** Sports knowledge preferred.**Position Qualifications:****Education:*** High school diploma or GED required.**Experience:*** At least two years of related experience preferred.**Work Environment and Physical Requirements:*****Disclaimer****: This list does not represent all physical demands.
