Survey CAD Technician

Survey Cad Technician Expanding Michigan firm with a critical role for a Survey CAD Technician is hiring in Rochester Hills! Responsibilities: Perform basic mathematics calculations (pipe slopes, areas, volumes, etc.) Detail/develop construction plans Maintain uniformity in work productsby reading/following CAD Standards and Operating Procedures (standards, conventions, guidelines) Review/check plans for accuracy Provide an estimate of man hours required to complete CAD projects Process engineering calculations and site plan/utility layout with minimal supervision Process existing/proposed profiles Plot legal descriptions for parcels, easement, and right of ways Import survey data into Civil 3D Produce boundary, topographical, ALTA and as-built surveys Generate stake-out coordinates/plot information for field crew Requirements: High school diploma or minimum of five years of civil engineering/surveying computer aided drafting experience Associates degree preferred 2+ years of professional CAD experience Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015, Microstation V8, and GeoPAK preferred Ability to use station offset methods to set points Solid understanding of metric system with ability to convert between metric and English Experience reading/comprehending simple instructions, correspondence and memos Experience presenting information to in one-on-one and small group settings Salary is commensurate with experience.
