Banquet Captain Job Category: Food & Beverage Part-Time On-site Wilderness Ridge Lincoln, NE 68512, USA Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work directly with Banquet Staff, Banquet Manager, and Banquet Chef on preparation for upcoming events. Supervise banquet staff during setup, execution, and cleanup of banquet events. Communicate with client throughout the event to ensure all requests are met and to anticipate any additional needs. Perform the duties, when needed, of Banquet Server, Banquet Bartender, Private Dining Server. Hire, train and develop banquet staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 6 months experience in a banquet/catering service setting preferred. Must be able to move at least 30 pounds. Must obtain city and state alcohol permits; and food handler permit. Must have open availability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong leadership skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to perform independently in a fast paced always changing environment. Must be attentive to details. Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment.
